| who say ... A "raising up" - not to be! | |
| 12:19 | And they were questioning him, saying ... "Teacher," ... |
| Moses wrote to us ... | |
| that if a "brother" of someone should die ... | |
| and leave behind a "wife" ... | |
| and not leave a "child" ... | |
| his brother may take the wife ... | |
| and he may raise up "a seed" for his brother. | |
| 12:20 | There were seven brothers ... |
| and the first took a wife ... | |
| and dying, did not leave "a seed." | |
| 12:21 | And the second took her ... |
| and he died, not having left behind "a seed" ... | |
| and the third likewise. | |
| 12:22 | And the seven did not leave "a seed." |
| and last of all the wife died. | |
| 12:23 | In the "raising up" ... |
| when they are raised ... | |
| to which of them will she be a wife? ... | |
| For all seven had her as a wife. | |
| 12:24 | Jesus said to them ... Is it not "through this" you are "lead astray" ... |
| not having known the "scriptures" ... | |
| nor the "power" of God? | |
| 12:25 | For when they "rise out from the dead" they do not "marry" ... |
| nor are they "given" in marriage ... | |
| but they are like "messengers in the heavens." | |
| 12:26 | But "around the dead" that they are "raised" ... |
| have you not read in the "Book of Moses" ... | |
| on the "thornbush" ... | |
| how God spoke to him, saying ... I am the God of Abraham ... | |
| and the God of Isaac ... | |
| and the God of Jacob? | |
| 12:27 | He is not a God of the "dead" ... |
| but of the "living." | |
| You are "greatly lead astray"! |
