12:13
And they send some Pharisees and Herodians before him ...
so that they might snare him in a "word."
12:14
And having come, they say to him ... Teacher, we know that you are full of "truth" ...
and nothing bothers you around anyone ...
for you do not look into the "face of men" ...
but rather on "truth" you teach "the way" of God.
Is it permissible to give a "head tax" to Caesar or not?
Should we give? ...
  or not give?
12:15
But having seen their hypocrisy, he said to them ... Why are you testing me?
Bring me a "denarius" so that I may look.
12:16
And they brought one ...
and he says ... Whose "image" and "inscription"? ...
And they said to him ... Caesar's!
12:17
And Jesus said to them ... The things of Caesar, give to Caesar.
And the things of God, to God.
And they were amazed at him.
