| 2:01 |
And entering
again into Capernaum through days ... |
| |
it is
heard he is in a house. |
| 2:02 |
And many were led together so that there was no longer any more space
(between them) ... |
| |
but now, not even
before the door. |
| |
And he
spoke the word to them. |
| 2:03 |
And they come before him carrying a paralytic ... |
| |
raised
up by four. |
| 2:04 |
And not being able to carry (the paralytic) through the crowd to him ... |
| |
they
unroofed the roof where he was. |
| |
And having dug (it) out ... |
| |
they lowered the bed upon which the paralytic
was laid down. |
| 2:05 |
And Jesus having perceived their belief ... |
| |
says to the paralytic ... Child, your sins are forgiven. |
| 2:06 |
Now some
of the scribes were sitting there. |
| |
And they were reasoning
things through in their hearts. |
| 2:07 |
Why? This (man) thus speaks blasphemies! |
| |
Who is able to able to forgive sins? ... if not (this one), (then) only God! |
| 2:08 |
And immediately, Jesus on knowing to his spirit
they were reasoning things through among themselves ... |
| |
he said to them ... Why are you reasoning these (things) through in your
hearts? |
| 2:09 |
Which is easier to say to the paralytic ... your sins are
forgiven? ... |
| |
Or to say ... Stand ... |
| |
raise up your bed ... |
| |
And walk around? |
| 2:10 |
But so that you may perceive ... |
| |
that the "son of man" has authority
to forgive sins upon the earth ... |
| |
he says to the paralytic ... |
| 2:11 |
I say to you ... Stand ... |
| |
raise up your bed! |
| |
And "underlead" into your house! |
| 2:12 |
And he stood ... |
| |
And immediately raising the bed, he went outside in front of everyone ... |
| |
so as to astonish
everyone. |
| |
And to glorify God. |
| |
They were saying ... We have never seen
anything like this. |
