The Four Fishermen

Simon Peter, Andrew, James, and John

Jesus chose two pairs of brothers who were fishermen to be his first four apostles (Mk 1:16-20). Their four names seem to have been carefully chosen so that the gematria values of their names as brothers would bring out the number of the raised Jesus (8880) as well as the number of the Greek word for "Fishes" (1224).

The diagram shows that when the two pairs of brothers (2216, 2222) are joined together in a vesica pisces construction they are equal (100.02%) to the raised Jesus (8880). The two vesicas in the diagram have a combined horizontal length of exactly 1224 units, the same gematria value as the Greek word ixthues (IcqueV), meaning "Fishes."
